I shipped /v2/nearby and /v2/bbox.
Nearby takes a coordinate and returns named places around it. Bbox takes a rectangle and returns named places inside it. Same key as search: X-API-Key or api_key.
If you already have a point, nearby is the call. A map click and a GPS fix look the same on the wire. If you have four edges, like a map viewport, use bbox.
Search still turns a name into a point. Reverse still turns a point into the nearest place. Request shapes are on /docs. Sign up and the dashboard gives you a key.
Free is 1,000 requests a month. Pro is €9 for 50k. Scale is €49 for 1M. Volume: sjoerd@geoloods.io.
